A rhythm, not a cram session

Krypto Logos reviews your verses the way memory actually works: often at first, then at widening intervals as each verse takes root.

DAILY

Your five newest verses

Every verse you add starts here. You review these five cards every day — this is where a verse moves from paper to heart.

WEEKLY

Once a week, by weekday

When your Daily stack is full, the verse you've held longest graduates to a day of the week — Sunday first, then Monday, and so on. You'll see it every week on its day.

MONTHLY

Once a month, by date

Verses you've carried longest graduate again — to a date of the month. One quiet visit every month keeps them yours for good.

The moving happens automatically. You just add verses and review what the app shows you each day — your five daily cards, today's weekday cards, and today's date cards.

Using the app

Everything happens with a tap or a swipe.

1

Add a verse

Tap the + button, type the reference (like John 3:16), optionally give it a category (like "Trust" or "God's Love"), choose the translation, and paste or type the passage. It becomes card one in your Daily review.

2

Flip to test yourself

Each card shows the reference on the front. Say the verse from memory, then tap the card to flip it and check yourself against the text.

3

Swipe through the stack

Swipe left or right to move between cards. The counter at the top shows where you are.

4

Enlarge a card for easier reading

Tap the small enlarge icon in a card's bottom-right corner to fill the screen with it — handy for longer passages or reading from a distance. Turn your phone sideways while enlarged and the card fills the landscape view too. Swiping works exactly the same, enlarged or not. Tap the icon again (now a shrink icon) to return to normal size.

5

Review the three tabs

Daily, Weekly, and Monthly each have their own color. Weekly and Monthly open to today, and a row of day buttons lets you tap over to browse any other day — a dot marks days that hold cards.

6

Save verses for later

Not ready to start on a verse yet, but don't want to lose track of it? Tap Future Verses below your review deck to hold onto it — verses sit there in Bible order automatically, waiting until you're ready. One tap moves a verse into Daily review whenever that day comes.

7

Edit or remove a card

Tap the small pencil on any card to fix a typo or delete the card. Edits keep the card right where it is in your review rhythm.

Put it on your phone

Krypto Logos installs straight from this site in a few taps — no app store needed.

Never lose your progress

Krypto Logos can back up every verse you've memorized, and every verse you've saved to memorize in the future, to a single file — right from the main screen in the app. Save it to iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or email it to yourself, then restore it any time: on this phone, a replacement phone, or even after switching from iPhone to Android or back. Your months (or years) of memory work are never tied to one device.

Questions

The short answers. Open the app if you'd rather just try it.

Is Krypto Logos really free?

Yes — free to use, with nothing locked behind a paywall and no ads. If it's helped you, there's an optional way to support the work, but nothing in the app requires it.

Do I need to create an account?

No. There's no sign-up and no login. Open the app and start adding verses right away.

Where is my data stored? Is it private?

Your verses are stored on your own device only. Nothing is uploaded or shared unless you choose to create a backup file yourself — and even then, that file only goes wherever you decide to send it.

What happens if I lose my phone or get a new one?

As long as you've backed up your cards (see above), you can restore every verse — and exactly where it sits in your Daily, Weekly, and Monthly review — onto any new device, including switching between iPhone and Android.

Which Bible translations can I use?

When you add a verse you can label it ESV, NIV, KJV, NASB, NKJV, NLT, CSB, or others — you type or paste in the actual passage text yourself, so any translation works.

Can I create cards in a language other than English?

Yes. The app stores whatever you type, in any language or script — Spanish, German, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, Thai, and more all work for the verses themselves. (The app's own buttons and labels are in English for now.) Here's John 3:16 in ten other languages, as a live example — tap any card to flip it:

Why isn't Krypto Logos in the App Store or Google Play?

Right now, Krypto Logos installs directly from this website instead of through an app store — and once installed, it works just like a native app, with its own icon, a full-screen experience, and full offline support. That means no waiting on app review, no account or store sign-in needed, and updates reach you automatically when you're online. An App Store or Google Play listing may come later, but installing from kryptologos.org already gives you the complete app.

Do I need an internet connection to use it?

You'll need a connection the first time you open Krypto Logos, so it can load and save a copy of the app to your device. After that, it opens and works completely offline — flipping cards, adding verses, everything — with no signal at all. Your verses are stored right on your device either way, and whenever you do have a connection, the app quietly checks for updates in the background and installs them automatically, ready the next time you open the app.

Can I fix a typo or remove a verse later?

Yes. Tap the small pencil icon on any card to edit it in place, or delete it entirely.

Support the work

Krypto Logos is free, for everyone, with nothing locked away — and it always will be. If it's helped you hide the Word in your heart, even the cost of a cup of coffee (about $5) makes a real difference in keeping it going.
